"Last year I treated 47 old patient with 6 moths old forefinger extensors incision injury. The incision was located on the dorsal side of the first forefinger phalanx and there was rigid and prominent scar tissue. The first interophalangeal joint was completely limited in mobility and fixed in 30° flexion position. After four SWT applications with 2.5 Bars intensity the scar tissue was strongly reformed and the range of the movement of the IP joint was restored to full extension and 100° flexion. On the attached ultrasonographic scans you can see the situation before the treatment( huge hyperechogenous scar tissue is indicated with arrow) and the second scan shows the change in one month follow-up."

"One of my first clinical experiences with shockwave treratment was very curious. I had a 27 years old patient,badminton player, with a supposedly bilateral Achilles tendinitis. I say supposedly because we were not able to reach a concrete diagnosis, he made all the possible tests but they were inconclusive, the orthopaedic doctor put the chance of being a psychological event (although the athlete showed an overhelming desire to return to activity).
